Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Parishad had invited online applications for recruitment to 12460 posts of Assistant Teacher for Primary Schools in UP State.
Candidates who have applied against this recruitment will undergo counseling process. A merit list will be drawn as per criteria given below for counseling. Cut-off list will be uploaded by UP Basic Education Parishad to call candidates for counseling. Counseling Letter shall also be available with date schedule on its website. Candidates can get all details of counseling from this page time to time.

Selection Process : Selection Process is strictly based on Merit List prepared by UP Basic Education Parishad. Based on Merit/ Cut Off of candidates, they will be called up for Counseling. Final Selection will be based on Merit of the candidate.
12460 vacancies are announced in 2016-2017 to fill vacant posts in UP Primary Schools. Graduate Candidates who have done BTC & Special BTC with TET qualification applied for these Posts.
Selection Committee : A Selection Committee will be organized under Rule book 1981 for Selection of Candidates/ Teachers. Principal of DIET of relative District will be Head of Selection Committee.
Merit List Preparation Process for BTC/ D.Ed Courses : Merit List will be prepared based on the Performance in Academics by Candidate. Merit List/ Cut Off may varied according to District/ Zone/ Circle wise. Process of Preparation of merit list will be as follows:
- Merit List will be Prepared based on the % of Marks in High School, Intermediate & Graduation.
- Marks of Each Exam was taken to two point of Decimal for Merit List.

Marks in Theory & Practical in Training Period (2 Year BTC Training, 2 Year Special Urdu BTC Training, Vishishta BTC Training, D.Ed Special Education) will be added based on the Division. Division wise Distribution will be as follows:
- First Division : 12 Points
- Second Division : 06 Points
- Third Division : 03 Points
Merit List Preparation Process for B.El.Ed Course : Merit List for B.El.Ed Courses for UP 12460 Primary Teacher recruitment will be prepared as :

- E-Application will also verified, Image, Uploaded Signature have to be matched.
- After Satisfactory Verification, Joining Letters will be issued to Selected Candidates.
